Emerging Countries Eligibility

Scholarship Description
The Emerging Countries Undergraduate Scholarship, established in 2014 by Dr. Dan Evans ‘69, Mr. Terry Laverty ’70, and Mr. John McDonough ’69 to empower Mines students from emerging countries to pursue and continue their education. 

Funds are designated to support student expenses aside from tuition and fees such as groceries, housing, technology needs and school supplies that are vital to a student’s success and confidence.

Eligibility Requirements
  • Minimum GPA 2.5
  • Full time Undergraduate International student
  • Two semesters at Mines minimum enrollment
  • Citizen from Africa, Asia-Pacific, Middle East, Latin (North, Central and South) America 
Scholarship Details
  • Total award of $5000 for the academic year
  • A total of four awards are given each year
